Kindred Accounts was founded in 2024 out of a necessity for change. Although a relatively new practice, it has quickly grown and Kindred Accounts will not stop until there is an unstoppable team fighting for an end to financial discrimination against sex workers and adult industry professionals.
Evie, the Director and Owner of Kindred Accounts, at 18 years old, she was accepted straight onto the prestigious Ernst & Young (one of the largest global accounting firms) school leaver scheme, training at one of the largest financial firms in the world. By 23, Evie was a fully qualified ACA Chartered Accountant.
To put that into perspective, the ACA is a Level 7 qualification, the academic equivalent of a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree combined. It demands a rigorous mastery of International Accounting Standards, complex tax compliance, and strategic tax planning. It goes far beyond basic accounting; it is a masterclass in high-level business strategy, growth, expansion, and business valuation.
Spending years reviewing complex corporate financial structures permanently programmed Evie’s brain with a strict, analytical "what could go wrong" mindset.
Today, she uses that exact attitude to critically review clients' tax returns before they ever reach the government. The practice brings a deep, personal understanding to neurodivergency. As an autistic individual herself, whose partner is both Autistic and ADHD, Evie recognizes that a significant portion of the creative and adult industries are beautifully neurodivergent.
Kindred Accounts completely rejects the rigid, overwhelming, and jargon-heavy communication styles of traditional firms. The practice adapts to how clients function best, stripping away the anxiety and executive dysfunction often attached to managing money.
